Look Polished Effortlessly with Mango

Being a first-time mom can be overwhelming. You tend to focus more on attending and fussing over to the new life before you. Often time, the first thing that you’ll “let go” in your daily routine is dressing up. This doesn’t need to be the case!

Mango, a clothing company founded in Barcelona, Spain, is the perfect solution for women who want to look polished effortlessly. The brand is one that is well-known in Malaysia, and has gained quite a following here. In my younger days, I would dropby a Mango store (also known as MNG here) to select a few pieces to complete my wardrobe. What can I say: Mango is accessible; caters to women of all ages; and always feature the latest global trend on its racks.

For the record, there is nothing wrong with looking good during this period of your life – long gone are the days where new moms are expected to only wear only sweatpants and sarongs. I mean, seriously, the first few months of being a new mother is already hard enough. I might as well be stylish doing it. Not only will you look good, you will feel good too. I truly believe a happy mama makes for a happy baby.

Now that Mango apparels for women is available online through ZALORA, I don’t even have to go out of the house to curate pieces from the brand for my wardrobe! Yay for online shopping! ;)

For the ladies who have no idea how to style the looks from Mango, I offer you three lookbook ideas – I hope at least one of them will tickle your fancy.

From the office or a day-out shopping to a weekday night date, this is the perfect day to night ensemble.
The first look is for ladies who want to appear chic, but not over the top, every time you step out of the house. A beautiful blouse, paired with a pair of fitted trousers from Mango is all you need. Sometimes understated outfits are the best; you can always dress it up later with accessories.

Mango's casualwear range is designed to give you confidence, all while being stylish and comfortable.
The second style is for the jeans and tee kind of girl (this is me most of the time – oops). This look is known by many to be an easy going attire to wear on a weekend or even hanging out with friends. Sometimes, wearing something fancy limits the way you manoeuvre, especially if you have a baby in one hand and their diaper bag in the other. #truestory.

A well-fitted suit can go a long way. Walk confidently
in style.
Lastly but not least, this Mango look is perfect those who are always required to wear a business suit or formal wear to work. Even though I am a Work At Home Mom (WAHM) now, I sometimes still need to go out and meet people. That’s just how my line of work…well, works.

It is said that a way a person dresses to work influence their work mood and energy. Whether to an appointment with a client, a meeting or even a normal day at work, Mango’s formal collection is trendy, yet still maintains the professional touches that could land you that project you’ve been pitching for. That, and first impressions matter when it comes to business.

No matter which look suits your style, one thing is for sure, Mango has something for everyone! Feel free to leave a comment telling me which look you will most likely go for! ;)

New Addition to the '' Family

And just like that, more than a year passed since I last updated. A lot of things changed - most of them are good. Overwhelming, but good.

I am now a mother to a beautiful baby girl. She arrived mid-April this year, and will be turning 6 months in a few weeks' time. How time flies.

(Left: About 8 months pregnant in March 2014. Right: The many faces of Anya in August 2014)

I've also left my full-time job to be a work at home mom (WAHM). I am by no means a housewife. The baby still goes to the nursery...I just work from home.

So while I am still a Panicking Wife, I have added another title: Panicking Mom. My journey as a first time mom would probably be more prominent, but I'll try not to bore you with baby picture spams. ;)

Le husband decided to play around with some Lady Grey 400 film, loaded into his Canon T70.

Just to share some of the beautiful shots he took - I'm included inside of course! :D

I'm not always vain okay? :P
